Leadership Academy
Empowering AHS leaders to drive meaningful change

The Leadership Academy is a transformative program aimed at cultivating and unleashing the full leadership potential of participants. Through this initiative, AHS seeks to empower current and emerging leaders to drive meaningful change across the medical community and throughout the Society.
This program will focus on the essential skills, mindset, and strategies required to thrive as a leader within AHS and in today’s evolving healthcare landscape. Participants will engage with AHS leadership and leadership development experts through a series of sessions and discussions focused on personal and professional growth and leadership.
The inaugural program is designed for SIG Chairs and Co-Chairs and offers a blend of in-person and virtual learning experiences:
- In-person sessions held during the Scottsdale Headache Symposium (December 3, 2025) and the Annual Scientific Meeting (June 3, 2026).
- Virtual check-ins throughout the year to foster connection and continuous learning
How to Participate
Candidate Criteria
- Must be an AHS member in good standing for at least 1 year
- Must be a Chair or Co-Chair of an AHS Special Interest Group
Must Commit To
- Attend and actively participate in sessions in-person at Scottsdale Headache Symposium (December 3, 2025) and Annual Scientific Meeting (June 3, 2026).
- Attend and actively participate in virtual check-ins.
Program Support
To support participant participation, AHS will cover registration fees for both the Scottsdale Headache Symposium and the Annual Scientific Meeting. In addition, AHS will provide one night of hotel accommodation for each of these in-person meetings. Participants will be responsible for any additional travel or lodging expenses not covered by the program.
